Meet The Staff - Who Are We?
Pastor Brian Cole
PASTOR BRIAN COLE - I'm happily married to my wife, Marsha Cole, and have 3 awesome boys: Lance, Dylan and Isaiah. I started off in life on the wrong side of things, and after 33 years of Satanism, Drugs, porn, cutting, stealing - 27 of those years in prison - Jesus Christ got hold of me in a jail cell in 2009. Since then I have committed to making Christ known everywhere and make His name famous. Since my release from prison in June of 2010 the Lord has used me mightily and has sent me back into most of the dark places I was at to bring forth His light. From 2010 until 2022 I was on the road and have spoken at hundreds of places across the country giving testimony and preaching the Gospel. Since 2010 I have been and am still part of Prison Fellowship and the Faith Riders Motorcycle Ministry. In May of 2012 I was hired as Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Stanley, Wi. While there I received my licensing through Forest Lakes District. I served there 4 1/2 years, and since September 2016 I have been serving as Pastor here at the Oaks. Soon after I received my ordination through Converge Great Lakes, and as of 2022 the Oaks became affiliated with Converge Great Lakes. I am an expository preacher and my calling is to train and equip the saints to go out to spread the gospel and make disciples.

PASTOR DAVID MCFADDEN - David and his wife, Debbie, have served in ministry together since before they were married in 1973. They spent 25 years in full time ministry serving churches in Michigan and Illinois. David and Debbie returned to school mid life to become licensed counselors and had an active practice in Illinois for almost 25 years. They have 4 married children and 13 grandchildren.
The McFadden’s have lived full time in Cable since 2020 and have been involved at The Oaks Church since it first started. In those days they visited the church when staying in the Cable area and Pastor David began preaching when in the area. From 2020 on they have both been fixtures at the church and Pastor David preaches monthly at the Oaks.
Pastor David was called to serve God by teaching and preaching the Bible and bring people to a knowledge of the Gospel and to know Christ. As a couple the McFadden’s have always worked together to train and disciple individuals, couples and families to know and serve the Lord and to navigate successfully the challenges of marriage and family life.

Mark Sandberg has been a part of the Oaks Church family since its inception, having grown up attending Salem Church in Ashland, the church that planted the Oaks. Since 2018, he has served as an elder, providing spiritual guidance and support to the congregation. In addition to his role as an elder, Mark is actively involved as one of the music leaders and occasionally shares messages from the pulpit. His journey with the Oaks Church has been a testament to the transformative power of community and faith, and he considers it a blessing to call this church his home.
